“This is a place of inspiring memories. Here less than a thousand men, inspired by the urge of freedom, defeated a superior force intrenched in this strategic position,” President Herbert Hoover said.
“This small band of patriots turned back a dangerous invasion.”
But no matter how often dangerous invasions are defeated, they come again.
Monument to the Battle of Kings Mountain
The thousand men that Hoover spoke of gained their victory at the Battle of Kings Mountain. The Spartan Regiment that fought there when, as Theodore Roosevelt wrote, “All the Southern lands lay at the feet of the conquerors” and “There was not a single organized body of American troops left” gave their name to Spartanburg, South Carolina.
And now, Spartanburg faces a dangerous invasion with only a handful of patriots inspired by the urge of freedom to stand against it.
Muslim invasion taking place under Obama’s watch and by his order.
But Spartanburg’s fighting spirit is still alive and Congressman Trey Gowdy, who represents the Spartanburg area, has challenged a plan to dump migrants, including possibly Syrians, there, inquiring whether they have criminal records and what background checks have been performed on them.
According to Thomas Jefferson, the Battle of Kings Mountain turned the tide in the Revolutionary War. Likewise the shot fired at Spartanburg may have great implications for the rest of the country. The invasion of Spartanburg is really an invasion of America through the Refugee Resettlement Program.
Most Americans know very little about the machinery of migration. They only notice that something is happening when their towns begin to change and their way of life begins to come apart. When they do think about immigration, their impression is of a massive howitzer cannon firing off new arrivals into major cities. Refugee resettlement however is more of a sniper rifle targeting places like Spartanburg with a limited number of arrivals that then begin to dramatically transform their host area through community organizations, localized welfare and the chain migration of families.
And then before you know it, what used to be Cedar-Riverside on the Mississippi is Little Mogadishu and what was Wilmar on the Great Northern Railway is Little Mogadishu and what was Lewiston of the mills is also another Little Mogadishu. And then eventually America becomes one big Mogadishu.
In 1980, Jimmy Carter signed Ted Kennedy’s Refugee Act into law. The Refugee Act used the UN definition of refugee while allowing up to 50,000 refugees to be admitted each year. The number has since increased with 70,000 refugees admitted last year alone. The ceiling for the number of refugees is determined each year. And that determination has a significant impact on the lives of Americans.
Refugee resettlement has long since become a machine bringing together an army of bureaucrats from a number of different offices with religious contractors who act as Volags, short for Voluntary Agencies, providing a pious justification for the colonization of the country while they gorge on taxpayer funds.
The list of Volags includes the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society and the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service, but the refugees are rarely of their faith.
The number one language spoken by refugees admitted to the United States last year is Arabic. The third most common language is Somali.
Almost twice as many Somalis as Spanish-speakers were admitted as refugees last year. Minnesota alone has suffered under the weight of over 10,000 Somalis over the last decade. And the number of Somalis more than tripled under Obama, flooding communities and devastating entire areas of the country.
Obama has been silently bringing in thousands of undocumented Muslims into American cities and towns since he first came into office in 2009.
The number of Arabic speakers also drastically increased, going from under 10,000 to nearly 18,000. We took in four Arabic speaking refugees for every Spanish-speaking refugee.
While it might be nice to imagine that persecuted Christians or Yazidis are being taken in from Syria, the vast majority of refugees are Sunni Muslims, the same sect that birthed Al Qaeda, the Muslim Brotherhood and ISIS.
In one month, we took in 437 Sunni Muslims from Syria, 1 Catholic, 47 Christians and 1 Yazidi.
The Volags may invoke the Bible in defense of refugee resettlement, but they are invoking it in the service of the Koran. Whether a cross or a star dangles on the door, inside is the dark crescent of Islam.
Unlike most other forms of immigration, refugee resettlement is the most dangerous and the least likely to be questioned. Its tactic of dumping migrants into communities, which are swiftly forced to adapt to demands for interpreters, social services, welfare and violence, is clothed in the pious garb of religion.
While the government gives religious groups money, they give it moral shielding, and the local people lose their rights, their homes, their money and sometimes their lives. But the attack on Spartanburg has brought attention to the practices of this secretive and deceptive program.
Congressman Gowdy’s letter is an important first step in casting light on its shadowy practices. While many Americans who have lost jobs, homes and loved ones to this terrible tide have come to despair, the lesson of Spartanburg remains with us. A handful of patriots prevailed in South Carolina against superior odds when the cause seemed abandoned and lost, when the armies that should have stood had broken and only a handful of rebels remained from what had once been a great cause.
America was built by handfuls of patriots doing their part in the right place at the right time. We remember the pivotal movements, but we often forget the length of the road to their victories.
On July 1st, 2007, Ann debuted her first post, a fact sheet on Refugee Resettlement. Ten days later, she recorded 200 views and commented that, “If the mainstream media won’t touch this issue, won’t investigate it or debate it, guess we will be going around them directly to you.”
Today Ann continues to drive the debate in directions the media doesn’t want. Her work has reached Gowdy’s attention and it has armed thousands of citizen activists with the information that they need to protect their homes, their communities and their country. She is an example of how we can all make a difference by tackling individual issues overlooked by many with thoroughness, clarity and depth.
“It was a little army and a little battle, but it was of mighty portent,” Hoover said of the Spartan Regiment and the Battle of Kings Mountain.
Even if we do not form great armies and fight great battles, we can all be little armies fighting little battles and it may be that we shall one day learn that these little battles were of mighty portent.
America faces battles on many fronts. The greatest of these is the battle for our identity. We fight for our right to be who we are. Who we always were. The mass migration is not immigration, it is colonization. Its goal is to destroy the American system by destroying the American spirit.
When we fight even the little battles for our way of life, we keep that spirit, the spirit of the Spartan Regiment, the spirit of Spartanburg, alive.
Here in the United States, where Americans are used to hearing their president always invoke Christianity as a way to silence Christians, United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron’s recent Easter message was moderately refreshing.
Obama – The Anti-Christian President
Among other things, Cameron made it a point to say “that we should feel proud to say, ‘This is a Christian country.’ Yes, we’re a nation that embraces, welcomes and accepts all faiths and none, but we are still a Christian country.”
The context of Cameron’s statement, it should be recalled, is a UK with a large, intolerant, and aggressive Muslim populace—a populace that increasingly seeks to treat the UK’s indigenous Christians the way the Islamic world’s indigenous Christians are habitually treated, that is, subjugated, enslaved, raped, and murdered.
In fact, Cameron touched on the phenomenon of Christian persecution in mostly Muslim lands:
We have a duty to speak out about the persecution of Christians around the world too. It is truly shocking that in 2015 there are still Christians being threatened, tortured, even killed because of their faith. From Egypt to Nigeria, Libya to North Korea. Across the Middle East Christians have been hounded out of their homes, forced to flee from village to village; many of them forced to renounce their faith or brutally murdered. To all those brave Christians in Iraq and Syria who practice their faith or shelter others, we will say, “We stand with you.”
While one may argue that Cameron is all talk (you can say that again) —after all, the UK’s foreign policies, like America’s, have only exacerbated the plight of Christians in the Middle East—it is still refreshing to hear such honest talk, since here in the U.S., one seldom get even that from President Obama.
This is in keeping with his earlierstatements calling on Americans in general Christians in particular to be nonjudgmental and instead to have “humility” and “doubt” themselves. For example, during the National Prayer Breakfast last February, after Obama alluded to the atrocities committed by the Islamic State—which include beheadings, crucifixions, rape, slavery, and immolations—he said:
I believe there are a few principles that can guide us, particularly those of us who profess to believe. And, first, we should start with some basic humility. I believe that the starting point of faith is some doubt—not being so full of yourself and so confident that you are right and that God speaks only to us, and doesn’t speak to others, that God only cares about us and doesn’t care about others, that somehow we alone are in possession of the truth.
Humility, of course, is a well-recognized Christian virtue. It is the exact opposite of pride; a modest if not humble opinion of oneself, one’s shortcomings. But what does that—exercising humility—have to do with our understanding of Islamic violence and terrorism, which was, after all, the topic Obama was discussing immediately before he began pontificating about humility? Are we not to judge and condemn Islamic violence—since we’re apparently no better, as the president made clear when he told Christians to get off their “high horse” and remember the Crusades and Inquisition?
Furthermore, while Christian humility encourages self-doubt, it does not encourage doubt concerning right and wrong, good and evil. The same Christ who advocated humility repeatedly condemned evil behavior, called on people to repent of their sins, and hurled tables in righteous anger.
The point here is that, whenever Obama invokes Christianity and Christian virtues, it is almost always in the context of trying to silence Christians: telling them to “love” more—that is, to never judge or condemn anything, and instead be doormats ever “turning the other cheek”; telling them to remember the historic “crimes” of other Christians—even if they are a thousand years old and no crimes at all—that is, telling Christians not to criticize Islam because they too live in glass houses.
This is what I have to say to that. Tell it like it is! Scream it from the mountain tops. Let the truth be heard!
This is the “liberal Christianity” which Obama and others hail, because its chief purpose is to silence Christians from condemning and combatting what are otherwise clear evils. Christians are being persecuted by Muslims all around the world? That’s okay, seems to be Obama’s response; just turn the other cheek—have some more “humility” and “doubt,” show their Muslim persecutors some more “love”—and everything will be set aright.
Is Barack Obama a Muslim or even an Islamist? Or is there another explanation for his open, heartfelt affinity for all things Muslim?
There is a veritable mountain of indirect evidence that he is indeed an acolyte of Islam. His late father was a Muslim. At the tender age of six, little Barack was taken by his mother to her new Indonesian husband’s homeland where he spent four crucial, formative years in a Muslim environment.
As president, he openly indicates his reverence for Islam — from a carefully mimicked Arabic accent when pronouncing the word the Muslim Scripture, the Quran, invariably preceded by the obligatory qualifier “Holy”, and a dewy-eyed reference to “one of the most beautiful sounds on Earth at sunset”, the muezzin’s call to prayer, to his declaration from the U.N. General Assembly rostrum that “the future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam”. Obama’s long-time spiritual guide, the Reverent Jeremiah Wright, interviewed by Ed Klein for his book, related that when Obama had joined his church, he “was steeped in Islam, but knew nothing about Christianity.”
And what about his public tirades about America’s sins and apologies for its “crimes?” What about his ridiculous statement that “Islam has been woven into the fabric of our country since its founding” or that Muslims have made a tremendous impact on American history and culture? What about his order to reorient NASA from space research to building bridges to the world of Islam and extolling the (imaginary) contributions of Muslims to space exploration?
Obama’s first telephone call to a foreign leader was to the head of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmud Abbas; his first trip abroad was to several Muslim countries; his first public speech during that trip delivered in Cairo was an appeal to the Muslims of the world to be friends. When Obama broke the tradition and rules of etiquette by slavishly bowing to Saudi King Abdullah, was he honoring a monarch or the keeper of the greatest sacred sites of Islam?
He took an active part in overthrowing Egyptian President Mubarak, an old, loyal friend of the United States, and eagerly supported the Muslim Brotherhood – so much so that to this day he refuses to forgive the Army and people of Egypt who threw Islamist President Mohamed Morsi out of office. Likewise, he helped destroy Col. Qaddafi, destabilizing Libya with grave consequences for the entire Middle East. His half-hearted aerial campaign against ISIS, a reluctant response to public pressure, is a joke, and he refuses to help Egypt and Jordan repel the Islamist threat.
He has been trying to ingratiate himself with Iran at the expense of America’s old Arab allies, but ignores the genocide of Christians in the region. He doesn’t like Israel, to put it mildly, and during last year’s Gaza War he all but openly took the side of Hamas even though it shows up on the State Department list of terrorist organizations. He demanded that Israel agree to a ceasefire on terms tantamount to capitulation; in the midst of fighting he instituted a partial embargo on military supplies to Israel and on a ludicrous pretext banned U.S. aircraft from using the Ben Gurion Airport, in effect declaring economic war on the Jewish state.
Watch the liar-in-chief tell us all about Islam’s greatness.
And to add insult to injury, he steadfastly refuses to acknowledge that the worldwide Islamist terrorist campaign has anything to do with Islam or even that terrorism exists. At least that’s the impression from the administration’s official vocabulary which bans such words as “terrorist”, “jihad” and the like. It’s always “violent extremism” or “workplace violence” or some such ludicrous euphemism. His Middle East policy can be summed up as antagonism toward America’s friends and appeasement of if not collusion with her enemies.
Worse, he insists that we have no right to get high and mighty about ISIS in view of the awful crimes committed in the name of Jesus Christ during the Crusades and Inquisition. The implication is that the 900-year-old campaign to liberate the Holy Sepulcher from the clutches of the Muslims is equivalent to the Jihadists enslaving and killing women and children, beheading Western journalists and “people of the Cross,” burning and burying prisoners alive. This is a page straight out of the Islamist playbook.
So there is no escaping a highly plausible conclusion that Obama is indeed a Muslim, right? Not so fast. A pretty strong case could be made that rather than an acolyte of Islam, he is in fact a far-left radical with a destructive, anti-American agenda.
He was raised by his mother, a fanatical America-hater, and leftist grandparents. His early mentor was Frank Marshall Davis, a card-carrying Communist. He attended three colleges, Occidental, Columbia, and Harvard, all known hotbeds of student radicalism. He admits in his autobiography, Dreams from My Father, that in college he sought out the company of the most radical professors and students. Upon graduation, he went to Chicago, Frank Marshall Davis’s old stomping grounds and home of the country’s most powerful black political machine, where he again fell in with the revolutionary crowd. As president, he brought with him a large retinue of like-minded radicals, such as Eric Holder, Van Jones, etc. And the mainstay of his domestic policy is “social justice,” a barely disguised revolutionary program to radically transform America that he openly advocated running for president.
America is the source of all evil in the world; her prosperity was built on the sweat of black slaves and exploitation of the oppressed peoples of the Third World. America is the enemy of mankind and must be destroyed and her wealth returned to the rightful owners: African-Americans and the oppressed masses of the Third World. Israel is America Lite and likewise must be wiped off the face of the world. Muslims are part of the Third World and thus are always beyond reproach. They are innocent victims of U.S. imperialism; anything they do is justified by their suffering. Terrorism is a legitimate response to the depredations of America — in short, she deserves her fate.
And then there is a time-honored tradition of American revolutionaries colluding with their country’s enemies, from the North Vietnamese communist regime to the Muslim Brotherhood that openly describes its activities in America as “a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within…” What’s not to like, if you are an American revolutionary? And so Obama and his circle are very cozy with this outfit and with its U.S. offshoot, CAIR, which the White House views as the go-to organization on all matters Muslim.
Hillary Clinton’s deep connection to the Muslim Brotherhood through Huma Abedin.
Another case in point is Hillary Clinton’s long-time, confidential aide Huma Abedin (Mrs. Anthony Weiner) who belongs to an activist family with extensive Muslim Brotherhood and Wahhabist connections. By all accounts, Huma Abedin is extremely close to Hillary and was privy to the nation’s highest secrets when her boss was secretary of state. Thus it is likely that the Muslim Brotherhood was fully informed about the decision-making process behind the U.S. Middle East policy. Yet it appears that Secretary Clinton was not at all concerned about the penetration of the U.S. government by the Islamists. Huma Abedin still enjoys the prospective presidential candidate’s full confidence. On at least one occasion Hillary Clinton, at Huma’s behest, personally intervened to allow prominent Muslim Brotherhood leader Tariq Ramadan to enter the United States, overturning the ban imposed by the previous administration.
So tell me the difference between the Islamist enemies of the United States and its radical foes of the home-grown variety as far as their attitude toward America is concerned? Their ultimate goals dovetail to such an extent that from where I sit, it’s six of one and half a dozen of the other. Whether as a Muslim or a far-left radical, Obama is indifferent to the national interests of the country he swore to defend when taking an oath of office. His sympathies clearly lie with the world of Islam and his foreign policy for all intents and purposes boils down to the support of Islamism.
So is Barack Obama a Muslim or a Communist? What difference, at this point, does it make?!
In spite of what Barack Obama would have us believe, he was as much in tune to Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress this week as was anyone and everyone else in the world.
Christian persecution by Muslims is evident in this map showing incidents of persecution around the world.
Butexclusive focus on American/Israeli and Israeli/Islamic relations threatens to blind us to the fierce, unrelenting oppression with which Christians throughout the world are routinely forced to reckon courtesy of their Islamic neighbors.
Throughout the Islamosphere in Africa and the Middle East, men, women, andchildren have been subjected en masse to unspeakable acts of cruelty. Jihadists, while pillaging and burning homes and churches, have laid waste to whole communities. Families have been destroyed as husbands and fathers were bludgeoned, beheaded, and burned to death; wives and mothers raped, beaten, and starved; young boys forced to convert to Islam and take up arms on behalf of their captors; and young girls enslaved and sold off to become either wives to grown men or human missiles—i.e. suicide bombers.
Muslim persecution of Christians is particularly evident in the Sudan.
Meanwhile, stateside, the historical and theological illiterates of the left—exemplified by none other than our 44th President—spout as a matter of course vacuities designed to imply moral parity between Islam and other religions. Worse, the American left reserves not a fraction of the condemnation for Islam, or even ISIS, that it regularly unleashes on Christianity.
But there is no moral parity here.
And it is profoundly offensive for anyone, least of all self-avowed Christian leaders, to suggest otherwise.
Muslim persecution of Christians is as old as the Qu’ran.
People like none other than the titular head of my church, Pope Francis, sought an explanation for the mass murderers that attacked Charlie Hebdo that came dangerously close to sounding like a justification. To be clear, the Pope doubtless abhorred this ghastly deed as much as anyone. But he expressed an understanding of these Islamic killers that he never would have dreamt of extending to Christians whose sins were far less grave.
That there is a glaring contrast between Christianity and Islam is gotten quickly enough when we consider just how the legions of Christian victims of Islamic persecution have responded to their tormentors.
In Niger, where ISIS incinerated 45 churches, the Christians who survived the rampages (which left at least 10 dead and roughly another 170 people critically injured) still managed to gather to worship together. According to The Voice of the Martyrs, a teenager remarked: “I guess God found us worthy.”
Open Doors reports that following the beheadings of 21 Coptic Christian by ISIS, churches in Egypt “united” to pray for the murderers. This organization dedicated to serving persecuted Christians shares a letter penned by an Egyptian “Christian leader” whose name remains anonymous. “The sound of prayers requesting mercy and life, not revenge and destruction, calling on God’s name to come and change the hearts of the killers, is loudly heard across Egypt.”
The letter relays that the “heartbroken wives, mothers, fathers and children of the martyrs,” while interviewed on national and other television shows, offered “simple expressions of love and forgiveness” that “brought down so many tears on air and surely delivered a mind blowing message about what the Christian faith is all about.” Pastors of Egyptian churches are “calling their congregations to wake up and pray for the persecutors of the church to come to meet with the Savior” so that “God will remove their stone hearts…and give them hearts of flesh and blood, capable of loving.”
Organizations like Open Doors and Voice of the Martyrs ask Christians around the world not to take up arms and avenge their subjugated brethren, but, rather, to pray for them.
The Christian News Wire reports that Christian Freedom International asked three Christians from three different Muslim-majority countries about their thoughts on Obama’s National Prayer Breakfast remarks. Their responses are telling.
What else needs to be said?
A Pakistani Christian replied: “I strongly condemn this statement by US President Obama… Christianity has always preached to love our neighbor.” The person added: “I know of no Christian extremist groups attacking people of other faiths.”
An Egyptian Christian said that he or she—the lives of these believers depend upon their anonymity—disagreed with Obama. “Coptic Christians in Egypt are very much pacifists and considered the most vulnerable minority [.]” Thus, “we cannot persecute people of other faiths. We Christians do not persecute Muslims. But we Christians are persecuted.”
A Muslim convert to Christianity living in Bangladesh had some particularly revealing things to say.
“But, the basic difference [between Christians and Muslims] is that Muslims today are being influenced and taught by their religious books to persecute the people of other beliefs.” In contrast, you can’t find “a single word in the New Testament that influences Christians to persecute others. The New Testament teaches [about] loving others.”
This convert from Islam mentions that while Christianity has produced numerous people, like Mother Teresa, who have made enormous sacrifices to serve others, “there is not a single example in the Muslim World of a Mother Teresa.” Instead, “Muslims have examples like Osama bin Laden.”
This person doesn’t stop here though. He or she identifies as the inspiration for Obama’s comments an Indian Muslim scholar by the name of Dr. Zakir Nayak. The latter, according to this irate Christian, “defends al Qaida activities by saying, ‘Christians and Jews did terrible things in the past.” Obama, he thinks, was exposed to Nayak while in India. At any rate, this interviewee poses a “challenge” to Obama to “find a single word in the New Testament that influences people to persecute others, where there are thousands [of such words] in the Muslim book, Quran.”
If Islamic militants can be said to pose an “existential threat” to anyone today, it is to those Christians living in Islamic lands.
Only don’t expect for Obama or John Kerry to ever bring this up.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is addressing a joint meeting of Congress; here is a running transcript of his remarks.
NETANYAHU: Thank you.
… Speaker of the House John Boehner, President Pro Tem Senator Orrin Hatch, Senator Minority — Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy.
I also want to acknowledge Senator, Democratic Leader Harry Reid. Harry, it’s good to see you back on your feet.
I guess it’s true what they say, you can’t keep a good man down.
My friends, I’m deeply humbled by the opportunity to speak for a third time before the most important legislative body in the world, the U.S. Congress.
I want to thank you all for being here today. I know that my speech has been the subject of much controversy. I deeply regret that some perceive my being here as political. That was never my intention.
I want to thank you, Democrats and Republicans, for your common support for Israel, year after year, decade after decade.
I know that no matter on which side of the aisle you sit, you stand with Israel.
The remarkable alliance between Israel and the United States has always been above politics. It must always remain above politics.
Because America and Israel, we share a common destiny, the destiny of promised lands that cherish freedom and offer hope. Israel is grateful for the support of American — of America’s people and of America’s presidents, from Harry Truman to Barack Obama.
We appreciate all that President Obama has done for Israel.
Now, some of that is widely known.
Some of that is widely known, like strengthening security cooperation and intelligence sharing, opposing anti-Israel resolutions at the U.N.
Some of what the president has done for Israel is less well- known.
I called him in 2010 when we had the Carmel forest fire, and he immediately agreed to respond to my request for urgent aid.
In 2011, we had our embassy in Cairo under siege, and again, he provided vital assistance at the crucial moment.
Or his support for more missile interceptors during our operation last summer when we took on Hamas terrorists.
In each of those moments, I called the president, and he was there.
And some of what the president has done for Israel might never be known, because it touches on some of the most sensitive and strategic issues that arise between an American president and an Israeli prime minister.
But I know it, and I will always be grateful to President Obama for that support.
And Israel is grateful to you, the American Congress, for your support, for supporting us in so many ways, especially in generous military assistance and missile defense, including Iron Dome.
Last summer, millions of Israelis were protected from thousands of Hamas rockets because this capital dome helped build our Iron Dome.
Netanyahu addresses the US Congress on March 3rd, 2015
Thank you, America. Thank you for everything you’ve done for Israel.
My friends, I’ve come here today because, as prime minister of Israel, I feel a profound obligation to speak to you about an issue that could well threaten the survival of my country and the future of my people: Iran’s quest for nuclear weapons.
We’re an ancient people. In our nearly 4,000 years of history, many have tried repeatedly to destroy the Jewish people. Tomorrow night, on the Jewish holiday of Purim, we’ll read the Book of Esther. We’ll read of a powerful Persian viceroy named Haman, who plotted to destroy the Jewish people some 2,500 years ago. But a courageous Jewish woman, Queen Esther, exposed the plot and gave for the Jewish people the right to defend themselves against their enemies.
The plot was foiled. Our people were saved.
Today the Jewish people face another attempt by yet another Persian potentate to destroy us. Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei spews the oldest hatred, the oldest hatred of anti-Semitism with the newest technology. He tweets that Israel must be annihilated — he tweets. You know, in Iran, there isn’t exactly free Internet. But he tweets in English that Israel must be destroyed.
For those who believe that Iran threatens the Jewish state, but not the Jewish people, listen to Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, Iran’s chief terrorist proxy. He said: If all the Jews gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of chasing them down around the world.
But Iran’s regime is not merely a Jewish problem, any more than the Nazi regime was merely a Jewish problem. The 6 million Jews murdered by the Nazis were but a fraction of the 60 million people killed in World War II. So, too, Iran’s regime poses a grave threat, not only to Israel, but also the peace of the entire world. To understand just how dangerous Iran would be with nuclear weapons, we must fully understand the nature of the regime.
The people of Iran are very talented people. They’re heirs to one of the world’s great civilizations. But in 1979, they were hijacked by religious zealots — religious zealots who imposed on them immediately a dark and brutal dictatorship.
That year, the zealots drafted a constitution, a new one for Iran. It directed the revolutionary guards not only to protect Iran’s borders, but also to fulfill the ideological mission of jihad. The regime’s founder, Ayatollah Khomeini, exhorted his followers to “export the revolution throughout the world.”
I’m standing here in Washington, D.C. and the difference is so stark. America’s founding document promises life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Iran’s founding document pledges death, tyranny, and the pursuit of jihad. And as states are collapsing across the Middle East, Iran is charging into the void to do just that.
Iran’s goons in Gaza, its lackeys in Lebanon, its revolutionary guards on the Golan Heights are clutching Israel with three tentacles of terror. Backed by Iran, Assad is slaughtering Syrians. Back by Iran, Shiite militias are rampaging through Iraq. Back by Iran, Houthis are seizing control of Yemen, threatening the strategic straits at the mouth of the Red Sea. Along with the Straits of Hormuz, that would give Iran a second choke-point on the world’s oil supply.
Just last week, near Hormuz, Iran carried out a military exercise blowing up a mock U.S. aircraft carrier. That’s just last week, while they’re having nuclear talks with the United States. But unfortunately, for the last 36 years, Iran’s attacks against the United States have been anything but mock. And the targets have been all too real.
Iran took dozens of Americans hostage in Tehran, murdered hundreds of American soldiers, Marines, in Beirut, and was responsible for killing and maiming thousands of American service men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Beyond the Middle East, Iran attacks America and its allies through its global terror network. It blew up the Jewish community center and the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires. It helped Al Qaida bomb U.S. embassies in Africa. It even attempted to assassinate the Saudi ambassador, right here in Washington, D.C.
In the Middle East, Iran now dominates four Arab capitals, Baghdad, Damascus, Beirut and Sanaa. And if Iran’s aggression is left unchecked, more will surely follow.
So, at a time when many hope that Iran will join the community of nations, Iran is busy gobbling up the nations.
We must all stand together to stop Iran’s march of conquest, subjugation and terror.
Now, two years ago, we were told to give President Rouhani and Foreign Minister Zarif a chance to bring change and moderation to Iran. Some change! Some moderation!
Rouhani’s government hangs gays, persecutes Christians, jails journalists and executes even more prisoners than before.
Last year, the same Zarif who charms Western diplomats laid a wreath at the grave of Imad Mughniyeh. Imad Mughniyeh is the terrorist mastermind who spilled more American blood than any other terrorist besides Osama bin Laden. I’d like to see someone ask him a question about that.
Iran’s regime is as radical as ever, its cries of “Death to America,” that same America that it calls the “Great Satan,” as loud as ever.
Now, this shouldn’t be surprising, because the ideology of Iran’s revolutionary regime is deeply rooted in militant Islam, and that’s why this regime will always be an enemy of America.
Don’t be fooled. The battle between Iran and ISIS doesn’t turn Iran into a friend of America.
Iran and ISIS are competing for the crown of militant Islam. One calls itself the Islamic Republic. The other calls itself the Islamic State. Both want to impose a militant Islamic empire first on the region and then on the entire world. They just disagree among themselves who will be the ruler of that empire.
In this deadly game of thrones, there’s no place for America or for Israel, no peace for Christians, Jews or Muslims who don’t share the Islamist medieval creed, no rights for women, no freedom for anyone.
So when it comes to Iran and ISIS, the enemy of your enemy is your enemy.
Netanyahu’s speech is interrupted with applause nearly forty times and he receives many standing ovations during his address to Congress
The difference is that ISIS is armed with butcher knives, captured weapons and YouTube, whereas Iran could soon be armed with intercontinental ballistic missiles and nuclear bombs. We must always remember — I’ll say it one more time — the greatest dangers facing our world is the marriage of militant Islam with nuclear weapons. To defeat ISIS and let Iran get nuclear weapons would be to win the battle, but lose the war. We can’t let that happen.
But that, my friends, is exactly what could happen, if the deal now being negotiated is accepted by Iran. That deal will not prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. It would all but guarantee that Iran gets those weapons, lots of them.
Let me explain why. While the final deal has not yet been signed, certain elements of any potential deal are now a matter of public record. You don’t need intelligence agencies and secret information to know this. You can Google it.
Absent a dramatic change, we know for sure that any deal with Iran will include two major concessions to Iran.
The first major concession would leave Iran with a vast nuclear infrastructure, providing it with a short break-out time to the bomb. Break-out time is the time it takes to amass enough weapons-grade uranium or plutonium for a nuclear bomb.
According to the deal, not a single nuclear facility would be demolished. Thousands of centrifuges used to enrich uranium would be left spinning. Thousands more would be temporarily disconnected, but not destroyed.
Because Iran’s nuclear program would be left largely intact, Iran’s break-out time would be very short — about a year by U.S. assessment, even shorter by Israel’s.
And if — if Iran’s work on advanced centrifuges, faster and faster centrifuges, is not stopped, that break-out time could still be shorter, a lot shorter.
True, certain restrictions would be imposed on Iran’s nuclear program and Iran’s adherence to those restrictions would be supervised by international inspectors. But here’s the problem. You see, inspectors document violations; they don’t stop them.
Inspectors knew when North Korea broke to the bomb, but that didn’t stop anything. North Korea turned off the cameras, kicked out the inspectors. Within a few years, it got the bomb.
Now, we’re warned that within five years North Korea could have an arsenal of 100 nuclear bombs.
Like North Korea, Iran, too, has defied international inspectors. It’s done that on at least three separate occasions — 2005, 2006, 2010. Like North Korea, Iran broke the locks, shut off the cameras.
Now, I know this is not gonna come a shock — as a shock to any of you, but Iran not only defies inspectors, it also plays a pretty good game of hide-and-cheat with them.
The U.N.’s nuclear watchdog agency, the IAEA, said again yesterday that Iran still refuses to come clean about its military nuclear program. Iran was also caught — caught twice, not once, twice — operating secret nuclear facilities in Natanz and Qom, facilities that inspectors didn’t even know existed.
Right now, Iran could be hiding nuclear facilities that we don’t know about, the U.S. and Israel. As the former head of inspections for the IAEA said in 2013, he said, “If there’s no undeclared installation today in Iran, it will be the first time in 20 years that it doesn’t have one.” Iran has proven time and again that it cannot be trusted. And that’s why the first major concession is a source of great concern. It leaves Iran with a vast nuclear infrastructure and relies on inspectors to prevent a breakout. That concession creates a real danger that Iran could get to the bomb by violating the deal.
But the second major concession creates an even greater danger that Iran could get to the bomb by keeping the deal. Because virtually all the restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program will automatically expire in about a decade.
Now, a decade may seem like a long time in political life, but it’s the blink of an eye in the life of a nation. It’s a blink of an eye in the life of our children. We all have a responsibility to consider what will happen when Iran’s nuclear capabilities are virtually unrestricted and all the sanctions will have been lifted. Iran would then be free to build a huge nuclear capacity that could product many, many nuclear bombs.
Iran’s Supreme Leader says that openly. He says, Iran plans to have 190,000 centrifuges, not 6,000 or even the 19,000 that Iran has today, but 10 times that amount — 190,000 centrifuges enriching uranium. With this massive capacity, Iran could make the fuel for an entire nuclear arsenal and this in a matter of weeks, once it makes that decision.
My long-time friend, John Kerry, Secretary of State, confirmed last week that Iran could legitimately possess that massive centrifuge capacity when the deal expires.
Now I want you to think about that. The foremost sponsor of global terrorism could be weeks away from having enough enriched uranium for an entire arsenal of nuclear weapons and this with full international legitimacy.
And by the way, if Iran’s Intercontinental Ballistic Missile program is not part of the deal, and so far, Iran refuses to even put it on the negotiating table. Well, Iran could have the means to deliver that nuclear arsenal to the far-reach corners of the earth, including to every part of the United States.
So you see, my friends, this deal has two major concessions: one, leaving Iran with a vast nuclear program and two, lifting the restrictions on that program in about a decade. That’s why this deal is so bad. It doesn’t block Iran’s path to the bomb; it paves Iran’s path to the bomb.
So why would anyone make this deal? Because they hope that Iran will change for the better in the coming years, or they believe that the alternative to this deal is worse?
Well, I disagree. I don’t believe that Iran’s radical regime will change for the better after this deal. This regime has been in power for 36 years, and its voracious appetite for aggression grows with each passing year. This deal would wet appetite — would only wet Iran’s appetite for more.
Would Iran be less aggressive when sanctions are removed and its economy is stronger? If Iran is gobbling up four countries right now while it’s under sanctions, how many more countries will Iran devour when sanctions are lifted? Would Iran fund less terrorism when it has mountains of cash with which to fund more terrorism?
Why should Iran’s radical regime change for the better when it can enjoy the best of both world’s: aggression abroad, prosperity at home?
This is a question that everyone asks in our region. Israel’s neighbors – Iran’s neighbors know that Iran will become even more aggressive and sponsor even more terrorism when its economy is unshackled and it’s been given a clear path to the bomb.
And many of these neighbors say they’ll respond by racing to get nuclear weapons of their own. So this deal won’t change Iran for the better; it will only change the Middle East for the worse. A deal that’s supposed to prevent nuclear proliferation would instead spark a nuclear arms race in the most dangerous part of the planet.
This deal won’t be a farewell to arms. It would be a farewell to arms control. And the Middle East would soon be crisscrossed by nuclear tripwires. A region where small skirmishes can trigger big wars would turn into a nuclear tinderbox.
If anyone thinks – if anyone thinks this deal kicks the can down the road, think again. When we get down that road, we’ll face a much more dangerous Iran, a Middle East littered with nuclear bombs and a countdown to a potential nuclear nightmare.
Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve come here today to tell you we don’t have to bet the security of the world on the hope that Iran will change for the better. We don’t have to gamble with our future and with our children’s future.
We can insist that restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program not be lifted for as long as Iran continues its aggression in the region and in the world.
Before lifting those restrictions, the world should demand that Iran do three things. First, stop its aggression against its neighbors in the Middle East. Second…
Second, stop supporting terrorism around the world.
And third, stop threatening to annihilate my country, Israel, the one and only Jewish state.
If the world powers are not prepared to insist that Iran change its behavior before a deal is signed, at the very least they should insist that Iran change its behavior before a deal expires.
If Iran changes its behavior, the restrictions would be lifted. If Iran doesn’t change its behavior, the restrictions should not be lifted.
If Iran wants to be treated like a normal country, let it act like a normal country.
My friends, what about the argument that there’s no alternative to this deal, that Iran’s nuclear know-how cannot be erased, that its nuclear program is so advanced that the best we can do is delay the inevitable, which is essentially what the proposed deal seeks to do?
Well, nuclear know-how without nuclear infrastructure doesn’t get you very much. A racecar driver without a car can’t drive. A pilot without a plan can’t fly. Without thousands of centrifuges, tons of enriched uranium or heavy water facilities, Iran can’t make nuclear weapons.
Iran’s nuclear program can be rolled back well-beyond the current proposal by insisting on a better deal and keeping up the pressure on a very vulnerable regime, especially given the recent collapse in the price of oil.
Now, if Iran threatens to walk away from the table — and this often happens in a Persian bazaar — call their bluff. They’ll be back, because they need the deal a lot more than you do.
And by maintaining the pressure on Iran and on those who do business with Iran, you have the power to make them need it even more.
My friends, for over a year, we’ve been told that no deal is better than a bad deal. Well, this is a bad deal. It’s a very bad deal. We’re better off without it.
Now we’re being told that the only alternative to this bad deal is war. That’s just not true.
The alternative to this bad deal is a much better deal.
A better deal that doesn’t leave Iran with a vast nuclear infrastructure and such a short break-out time. A better deal that keeps the restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program in place until Iran’s aggression ends.
A better deal that won’t give Iran an easy path to the bomb. A better deal that Israel and its neighbors may not like, but with which we could live, literally. And no country…
… no country has a greater stake — no country has a greater stake than Israel in a good deal that peacefully removes this threat.
Ladies and gentlemen, history has placed us at a fateful crossroads. We must now choose between two paths. One path leads to a bad deal that will at best curtail Iran’s nuclear ambitions for a while, but it will inexorably lead to a nuclear-armed Iran whose unbridled aggression will inevitably lead to war.
The second path, however difficult, could lead to a much better deal, that would prevent a nuclear-armed Iran, a nuclearized Middle East and the horrific consequences of both to all of humanity.
You don’t have to read Robert Frost to know. You have to live life to know that the difficult path is usually the one less traveled, but it will make all the difference for the future of my country, the security of the Middle East and the peace of the world, the peace, we all desire.
My friend, standing up to Iran is not easy. Standing up to dark and murderous regimes never is. With us today is Holocaust survivor and Nobel Prize winner Elie Wiesel.
Elie, your life and work inspires to give meaning to the words, “never again.”
And I wish I could promise you, Elie, that the lessons of history have been learned. I can only urge the leaders of the world not to repeat the mistakes of the past.
Not to sacrifice the future for the present; not to ignore aggression in the hopes of gaining an illusory peace.
But I can guarantee you this, the days when the Jewish people remained passive in the face of genocidal enemies, those days are over.
We are no longer scattered among the nations, powerless to defend ourselves. We restored our sovereignty in our ancient home. And the soldiers who defend our home have boundless courage. For the first time in 100 generations, we, the Jewish people, can defend ourselves.
This is why — this is why, as a prime minister of Israel, I can promise you one more thing: Even if Israel has to stand alone, Israel will stand.
But I know that Israel does not stand alone. I know that America stands with Israel.
I know that you stand with Israel.
You stand with Israel, because you know that the story of Israel is not only the story of the Jewish people but of the human spirit that refuses again and again to succumb to history’s horrors.
Facing me right up there in the gallery, overlooking all of us in this (inaudible) chamber is the image of Moses. Moses led our people from slavery to the gates of the Promised Land.
And before the people of Israel entered the land of Israel, Moses gave us a message that has steeled our resolve for thousands of years. I leave you with his message today, (SPEAKING IN HEBREW), “Be strong and resolute, neither fear nor dread them.”
My friends, may Israel and America always stand together, strong and resolute. May we neither fear nor dread the challenges ahead. May we face the future with confidence, strength and hope.
May God bless the state of Israel and may God bless the United States of America.
It is hardly a surprise that immediately after news came out that ISIS had burned a captured Jordanian pilot to death that Barack Hussein Obama absolved Islam of the crime.
Burning alive of the Jordanian pilot by ISIS is nothing else but another practice inspired by Muhammad in the Sunna.
ISIS released a video on Tuesday of its execution-by-incineration of the pilot, who was captured in December after his plane crashed in ISIS controlled territory. ISIS had been threatening to execute him if their zealots jailed in Jordan were not released.
CNN immediately reported Obama’s reaction to the news of the horrific slaying: “Should, in fact, that video be authentic,” Obama stated, “it’s just one more indication of the viciousness and barbarity of this organization, and I think it will redouble the vigilance and determination on the part of a global coalition to make sure that they are degraded and ultimately defeated. And it also just indicates the degree to which whatever ideology they are operating off of, it’s bankrupt.”
Obama’s phraseology is an exercise in denial that Islam had anything to do with it. By referring to ISIS as “this organization” and using a clunky circumlocution like “whatever ideology they are operating off of,” he has made it clear he believes that Islam has nothing to do with terror. The cruel burning of the man was the action of a bankrupt “whatever.”
This of course is absurd. ISIS is Islam 101. Islam has a 14-century history of using terror to impose itself, starting with Muhammad, the creator of Islam. Usually it was just matter of cutting throats, lopping off heads, running people through with spears and swords, or shooting them with arrows. Islam is known as the “religion of the sword,” which was the weapon of choice. But even this particular mode of killing by fire has precedents in Muhammad’s behavior, his Sunna, and therefore it is allowable to the people of ISIS, who strictly model their behavior on Muhammad’s example.
Christians burned to death in Nigeria by guess who… Why Muslims of course!
Take for example the Dirar Mosque incident, a mosque in Medina Muhammad denounced as the “mosque of dissidence” and ordered it burned down. This occurred in A.D. 630 upon his return from the Tabuk raid at the head of 30,000 men who were disgruntled because nothing had been conquered so there was not any plunder to pay them with. The operation had targeted the Byzantines, but they were nowhere to be found. It is evident from the literature some of his people attempted to kill him on the return trip, and paranoid that dissatisfaction with him over lack of booty could get out of hand, he ordered the destruction of a recently built mosque as a warning to dissidents.
This was a mosque that had opened just prior to the march against the Byzantines and had been constructed as an extension of a home belonging to a Christian known as “The Monk,” who had fled to Syria to keep from being killed. Muhammad deemed it therefore a center of subversion and ordered it torched with occupants inside. It is recorded that one man burned to death. One of the zealots who carried out Muhammad’s orders gloated the victim had been burned “down to the scrotum.”
The video below describes the actions of Muslims in Nigeria as they continue to try to cleanse the country of Christians by burning their churches and them as well, if necessary.
Another documented burning took place just prior to the Tabuk raid. Muhammad ordered a house to be burned down where people had congregated who objected to joining the raid. Zealots surrounded the house and torched it. Most of the occupants escaped, some by jumping from the roof, but the owner, a Jew, was incinerated.
The traditions about Muhammad also contain a number of stories of him threatening to burn the houses down — occupants inside — of people who failed to show up for the obligatory prayers, and he may have actually done so on one occasion.
Islam is all about Muhammad’s Koran and his Sunna, the example of his behavior. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the self-declared caliph of the so-called Islamic State, is supposed to have the equivalent of a Ph.D in Islamic literature, meaning that he is well versed in these burning precedents.
An ISIS propaganda video showing this barbaric execution is entitled the “Healing of the Believers’ Chests.” It is not immediately clear what ISIS meant by this, but it is likely related to Muhammad’s idea of purification through punishment, a concept that is central to Sharia law. The idea is that if the sinner repents and accepts the punishment that is due in this life under “God’s law,” then Allah will forgive him and spare him the punishment of the fires of hell. This perhaps explains the apparent calmness of the Jordanian pilot as he walks to the cage on his own and stands with resignation as the flames come toward him. He had been under ISIS control for more than a month, enough time to convince him that he was an apostate who deserved death, but that he would be spared the flames of eternal punishment through repentance and purification through the death penalty.
His judge-killers calmly watch and feel satisfaction that the fires of this world are sparing this repentant soul from the fires of hell.
Islam is indeed a bankrupt ideology. Any ideology is bankrupt that has to rely on terror to impose itself and to ensure against defection. This execution and other recent ISIS atrocities show the image of Muhammad, repugnant, corrupt, paranoid, grandiose, psychopathic. It is the image of a man who could preside with gloating satisfaction over the beheading of 900 men and boys and order the assassination of others for refusing to accept him as their prophet. A man who raided, and plundered, and enslaved . . . and burned people to death.
There is no mystery about Obama’s reaction to the ISIS atrocity. He was raised in a Muslim environment during critical years of his childhod, and his actions of the past six years show he is in alignment with the Muslim agenda. His pronouncement before the United Nations that “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam” is nothing if not a statement of his true belief. He is the typical product of the brainwashing of Islam, which holds that Muhammad was the greatest and most perfect man ever to exist.
If you still have eyes that can open, then open them Obama. Take a good look into the mirror that ISIS is holding up. It is holding it up to you and to the entire world.
Not all those who claim to be Christians really are, said Pope Francis Friday morning. Some are Christians “in name only,” he said. “They bear the name of Christians but live a life of pagans.”
Pope Francis glaring…
In his homily at Mass, the Pope (said) that there have always been two types of Christian, those who truly followed Christ and those who only pretended to. At the time of Saint Paul, there were “worldly Christians, Christians in name only, with two or three Christian features, but nothing more.” The Pope called this sort of people “Pagan Christians,” whom St. Paul called “enemies of the cross of Christ.”
In Paul’s time, the Pope said, the two groups of Christians “were in church together, went to Mass on Sunday, praised the Lord, and were called Christians.” So what was the difference? He asked. The second were “enemies of the cross of Christ.”
The Pope went on to say that “even today there are many! We must be careful not to slip into the way of pagan Christians.” These are the ones, he said, who are “pagans painted over with two brush strokes of Christianity, so they look like Christians, but are really pagans.”
According to Francis, we all run the risk of becoming “Christians in appearance.” We are tempted, he said, to mediocrity, and when Christians become mediocre, “it is their ruin, because the heart cools and they become lukewarm.” Francis reminded his hearers that Jesus used strong language to describe this sort of Christians: “Because you are lukewarm, I will vomit you out of my mouth.” These, the Pope said, “are enemies of the cross of Christ. They take the name of Christian, but do not follow the requirements of the Christian life.”
Pope Francis wants you to “be kind” to lost people, and to not try to convert them to save them from Hell. What about the “great commission”?
The Pope suggested that there are questions we can ask ourselves to know what sort of Christians we are. He said that all of us—the Pope included—need to ask ourselves: “How much worldliness is in me? How much paganism?”
Even more specifically, the Pope asked: “Do I like to brag? Do I like money? Do I like my pride, my arrogance? Where are my roots, and where is my citizenship? In heaven or on earth?”
“If you love money and are attached to it, if you love vanity and pride, you are headed down a bad road,” he said. If, instead, he continued, “you try to love God and serve others, if you are gentle, if you are humble, if you are the servant of others, you are on the right path. Your citizenship is in heaven.”
By not sending anyone from the White House to the Paris rallies against Islamic terrorism the other day, President Obama has made his Muslim sympathies abundantly clear.
As I tweeted the other day: now we know which side he’s rooting for. But don’t just take it from me, take it from IBD’s editorial on the subject:
Barack Obama skipped the greatest anti-terror rally ever, the only Western leader to do so. Unlike France’s prime minister, he refused to condemn radical Islam, suggesting disinterest in defeating its spawn. The president and his top aides remain unusually deferential and accommodating to the Muslim community — despite the spike in threats from the Islamic State, al-Qaida and other Muslim terrorists…
Obama’s latest Islamist appointment is hijab-wearing Fatima Noor, who will help usher in more Muslim immigrants as the special assistant for U.S. citizenship and Immigration Services at Homeland Security.
The IBD continues:
Over the past three years, as Europe deals with Muslim immigrant no-go zones and spiking terror attacks, Obama waved more than 300,000 foreign Muslim nationals into the U.S. — including more than 88,000 from Saudi Arabia alone. Law enforcement can barely handle the terror threats it has without adding unknown foreign Muslims to the matrix.
In his first speech, Obama went to Cairo, invited Muslim Brotherhood leaders to sit front and center, and apologized to the Muslim world for America’s war on terror. Then in 2012, before the United Nations and the world, he declared “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet (Muhammad).”
Remarks such as these, along with his pro-Islamist policies, give a green light for jihadists to go ahead and kill in the name of Islam. Incredibly, our Muslim-sympathizing commander in chief is himself a big part of the terror problem. If America is attacked again, he will have a lot of explaining to do.
Only if the press asks him to explain. Which it won’t.
Webster’s Third International Dictionary defines torture as the infliction of intense pain in order to punish or coerce someone; or to give sadistic pleasure to the torturer.
In times past, devices such as the Bastinado, the Rack, and the Iron Maiden were used to extract information or confessions from individuals suspected of everything from witchcraft to heresy. It is therefore not surprising, under the circumstances, that people would admit anything in order to get the torturers to stop. Surviving records of people admitting under torture to being in league with Satan, would of course, not be admissible as evidence in any modern court of law; but were seen as valid for hundreds of years from Medieval times through the Inquisition. Only with the advent of the Enlightenment did civilized societies come to view torture as archaic, obscene, and repugnant.
The Persian Bastinado
Torture today has an entirely new face, as new techniques have replaced the old. Instead of the Bastinado, we have the slap in the face. In lieu of the Rack, we have Waterboarding, and in the place of the Iron Maiden, we have sleep deprivation, hoods over the head and exposure to a cold concrete floor.

In lieu of the Rack, we have Waterboarding, and in the place of the Iron Maiden, we have sleep deprivation, hoods over the head and exposure to a cold concrete floor.
The Iron Maiden
Come to think of it, compared to torturers of old, their modern day CIA equivalents are wussies by comparison; not that anyone would want to experience a Waterboarding session. It is at best, an extremely unpleasant procedure, albeit one that has been used by our own military in the training of US Navy Seals and other special operation forces. But does it constitute torture according to the dictionary definition? That would depend on one’s interpretation of the term “intense pain.” It is also unlikely that our modern day torturers derived any sadistic pleasure from their actions; although an extreme dislike of the subjects of their enhanced interrogation cannot be ruled out. They are dealing with individuals such as Khalid Sheikh Mohammed; the mastermind of 9-11, the man who beheaded Daniel Pearl and an individual with the blood of thousands of Americans on his hands.
In an ideal world, no sane person would condone the use of torture. But we do not live in an ideal world. If tears must be shed for any perceived “victim,” better it be for the families of those who died in terrorist attacks, both before and after September 11, 2001. On that day, our world changed irrevocably, as an age of innocence suddenly and violently came to an end.The recent release of a report detailing the methods used by the CIA to interrogate captured terrorists serves as both a reminder and a warning of the terrible choices we are forced to make in order to ensure the safety of our population. The report, based on material supplied by the CIA to a Senate Investigative Committee led by Senator Dianne Feinstein, came to the conclusion that NO useful information was obtained from the use of enhanced interrogation techniques. That absolutely NO useful information at all was ever obtained is a suspicious statement in and of itself; but the fact that none of the CIA’s three previous directors, the current director, or any of the agents involved in the program was interviewed or put under oath shows a remarkable lapse of judgment and evinces a possible bias toward an already pre-determined conclusion. The fact that this committee was composed entirely of Democrats also raises questions about the impartiality of the decision and the statement that “no useful information” was obtained contrasts sharply with transcripts of the following interviews: On 12/17/14 Megyn Kelly from Fox’s, “The Kelly File” interviewed Dr James Mitchell, the “Man Who Waterboarded 9/11 Mastermind: If it was torture, I would be in jail.” This psychologist, who developed the program for the CIA, indicated the techniques were both effective and useful. Similarly, former Navy SEAL Rob O’Neill, who killed bin Laden, stated on a Fox interview with Peter Doocy that enhanced interrogative techniques used on Khalid Sheikh Mohammed yielded positive results. Previously, we had been told that the raid on bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan was possible only because the name of his courier was divulged during an enhanced interrogation session of a major al-Qaeda terrorist, supposedly Khalid Sheikh Mohammed. Before we became aware of his function, this courier was just another name in a very long list of suspected terrorists. After we learned of his role, we had only to follow him until he eventually led us to bin Laden’s lair. Peter Bergen’s interview on CNN, 12/11/12, where Mr. Bergen gives the names of four al-Qaeda terrorists, all of whom were subject to the same techniques and gave up information. There are probably instances of other terrorist attacks that have been thwarted using information gathered during these sessions, but security protocol prevents them from being disseminated.
The re-emergence of al-Qaeda, the conquests of ISIS, the resurgence of the Taliban, and the exponential growth of other Islamic terror groups such as Boko Haram, Ansar al-Sharia, al-Shabab, Hamas, and Hezb’allah serves as a warning that we cannot relax our guard for an instant. We need intelligence from whatever source we can get, and if that means a terrorist has to get slapped or Waterboarded, then that is a better option than the sight of a mushroom cloud over a major American city. The attacks of 9-11-01 and the murder of 3000 innocents should serve as constant reminders of the nature and intent of the enemy we face and of the failure of the intelligence community to heed the warning signs. One has only to read accounts of the depredations of ISIS and other terrorist groups from the Middle East to Africa and even on our own home soil to come to the conclusion that we are at war with an implacable foe. Reports and videos of beheadings, mass executions, crucifixions, abductions, forced slavery, rape, and even being buried alive are commonplace, yet we seem to be more concerned with the perceived ill-treatment of a terrorist than of the aforementioned atrocities. It has been said that all societies make compromises with their core values during times of distress. The implication here being, that the threatened society will re-embrace those core values once the crisis has passed. We can only hope that the compromises we must make during these troubled times do not compromise us as a nation.
Over twenty nations and counting have a travel ban to stop the spread of Ebola.
Senators, Congressmen, radio talk show hosts and assorted pundits on both sides of the aisle are clamoring for President Obama to implement a travel ban from Ebola hot zone countries. Stopping potential Ebola carriers from entering our country is only common sense.
I chuckled upon hearing Bill O’Reilly say that when one more American is reported to be infected, Obama will surely implement a travel ban. Even after six years, Mr. O’Reilly is still credulous about who Obama truly is (Mr No Spin is really Mr Yes Spin).
Remember the programmed cyborg assassin played by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Terminator movies? Think of Obama as a cyborg programmed by socialist/progressives, unfeeling, relentless and laser focused on his mission to transform America as founded and dethrone her.
And nothing, I repeat, nothing, including American lives, will deter this machine from fulfilling its mission.
Consequently, Obama’s programming prohibits any possibility of him banning flights from the Ebola hot zone, no matter how many Americans are infected. Fundamentally transforming America as founded requires open borders and granting amnesty to several millions of unskilled needy illegals.
Eventually, illegals will be granted amnesty and the right to vote. Then, the Democrats’ insidious deception will begin; convincing the new faux Americans that they are victims of racist white rich Republicans. Step two is to seduce/addict them to government handouts. The Step three is a promise to keep their supposed evil Republican Nemesis at bay. And presto, millions of new Democrat voters.
As I stated, open borders are crucial to Obama’s termination of America as founded. A travel ban would concede the point that his y’all-come immigration policy is catastrophically dangerous. Gangs, drug dealers, murderers and carriers of contagious diseases that are infecting our kids in schools are flowing across our southern border daily at will.No way could an American president be so cold and calculating regarding the safety of his people, right? All one has to do is simply review Obama and his enforcer’s behavior over the past six years.
Regular folks like you and me would be embarrassed if caught in a lie or compromising position. Not this bunch. Every time Obama or one of his enforcers have gotten caught in a scandal, an obvious lie or defending an outrageous policy, they double down. They look down their noses incensed that anyone would dare challenge them. They engage in even more outrageous scandalous behavior, tell even bigger lies and more vehemently attack their accusers.
For example, while in the midst of congressional hearings regarding the IRS targeting tea party groups, the IRS continued its illegal harassment of tea party groups. Folks, this is arrogance beyond the pale. Who are these people?
Our robotic terminator of America takes a screw-you, in-your-face double-down approach to every issue.
Military experts say it is preposterous for Obama to deploy our troops (4000) to the Ebola hot zone to do a job for which they are not qualified. Our troops are not social workers or construction workers. Obama does not care. Remember the famous 1960s photo of an anti-war protester placing a flower in the barrel of a soldier’s rifle? I have an image in my mind of Obama doing the same thing to the rifles of our military.
Obama has much compassion for folks outside of America while displaying a cold callous disregard for U.S. citizens and the brave young men and women who serve in our military. It breaks my heart that Obama deems our troops acceptable collateral damage, sending them to the Ebola hot zone to fulfill his flower-child fantasy of what the military should be.
Unswayed by public outcry, Obama has doubled down on his misuse of our military. He signed an Executive Order for 500 National Guard troops to go to Ebola land.
Obama hates the American Military as much as he hates Christians ; Orders Military To Classify Christian Ministry As “Domestic Hate Group”
Think about that folks. These guys signed up as weekend warriors to defend and protect our homeland, the National Guard. Obama has chosen to make them his “International Guard” — taking them from their jobs, businesses, communities and families to use as political pawns for his agenda.
Without apology, Obama told the biggest whooper in presidential history 29 times. If you like your doctor and health care plan you can keep them. Doubling down, this guy continues to lie through his teeth, claiming that Obamacare is extremely successful and folks are lovin’ it. Is he insane? No. Obama is a cold hardhearted cyborg laser-focused on his mission. Obamacare has been a nightmare for millions and the individual mandate has not even kicked in yet. Meanwhile, the MSM smiles and nods in agreement with Obama.
Here are more examples of our cyborg prez in action.
From the attack on our U.S. mission in Benghazi, the Ft. Hood terrorist attack, the Boston Marathon bombing terrorist attack, the recent terrorist beheading of a woman on American soil, the IRS scandal, the VA scandal, the NSA scandal, the invasion of our southern border by illegals (wait a moment folks while I catch my breath), the Fast and Furious gun running scandal, the Secret Service prostitution scandal and allowing someone to breach the White House scandal and more. Politics has been the Obama Administration’s sole concern in dealing with each of them.
Obama’s robotic underlings are equally cold and calculating — Josh Earnest, Lois Lerner, Eric Holder, Susan Rice and others all programmed to protect and fulfill Obama’s mission.
Despite Obama’s refusal to relent, the American people will demand and receive a travel ban from Ebola infected countries. It will happen as a result of adult politicians on both sides of the aisle stepping up and going around Obama. You will never hear Obama say he was wrong or that he changed my mind.
Obama is secretly setting the stage for amnesty for over 10 million illegals. While Obama cannot grant citizenship via executive action, but he can grant legal residence. It will take some time for them to be granted legal citizenship. Meanwhile, people can certainly vote illegally.
No, Mr. O’Reilly. The cyborg in the White House will not back down from his decree that the U.S. will not impose a travel ban from Ebola infected countries, no matter how many Americans get sick and die. God help us.

Today, the entire world is appalled by the brutal murder of Jim Foley by the terrorist group ISIL. Jim was a journalist, a son, a brother and a friend. He reported from difficult and dangerous places, bearing witness to the lives of people a world away.
He was taken hostage nearly two years ago in Syria, and he was courageously reporting at the time on the conflict there. Jim was taken from us in an act of violence that shocked the conscience of the entire world. He was 40 years old, one of five siblings, the son of a mom and dad who worked tirelessly for his release. Earlier today, I spoke to the Foleys and told them that we are all heartbroken at their loss and join them in honoring Jim and all that he did.
Now, Jim Foley’s life stands in stark contrast to his killers. Let’s be clear about ISIL. They have rampaged across cities and villages killing innocent, unarmed civilians in cowardly acts of violence. They abduct women and children and subject them to torture and rape and slavery. They have murdered Muslims, both Sunni and Shia, by the thousands. They target Christians and religious minorities, driving them from their homes, murdering them when they can, for no other reason than they practice a different religion.
They declared their ambition to commit genocide against an ancient people. So ISIL speaks for no religion. Their victims are overwhelmingly Muslim, and no faith teaches people to massacre innocents. No just god would stand for what they did yesterday and what they do every single day. ISIL has no ideology of any value to human beings. Their ideology is bankrupt. They may claim out of expediency that they are at war with the United States or the West, but the fact is they terrorize their neighbors and offer them nothing but an endless slavery to their empty vision and the collapse of any definition of civilized behavior.
People like this ultimately fail. They fail because the future is won by those who build and not destroy. The world is shaped by people like Jim Foley and the overwhelming majority of humanity who are appalled by those who killed him. The United States of America will continue to do what we must do to protect our people. We will be vigilant and we will be relentless. When people harm Americans anywhere, we do what’s necessary to see that justice is done and we act against ISIL, standing alongside others. The people of Iraq, who with our support are taking the fight to ISIL must continue coming together to expel these terrorists from their community. The people of Syria, whose story Jim Foley told, do not deserve to live under the shadow of a tyrant or terrorists. They have our support in their pursuit of a future rooted in dignity.
From governments and peoples across the Middle East, there has to be a common effort to extract this cancer so that it does not spread. There has to be a clear rejection of this kind of nihilistic ideologies. One thing we can all agree on is that a group like ISIL has no place in the 21st century. Friends and allies around the world, we share a common security and a common set of values that are rooted in the opposite of what we saw yesterday. And we will continue to confront this hateful terrorism and replace it with a sense of hope and civility.
And that’s what Jim Foley stood for, a man who lived his word, who courageously told the stories of his fellow human beings, who was liked and loved by friends and family. Today, the American people will all say a prayer for those who loved Jim. All of us feel the ache of his absence. All of us morn his loss. We keep in our prayers those other Americans who are separated from their families. And we will do everything that we can to protect our people and the timeless values that we stand for. May God bless and keep Jim’s memory. And may God bless the United States of America.
The video below shows the moments leading up to the beheading of James Foley by ISIS savages. It is not graphic but you can see and hear the messages sent by ISIS and mouthed by Foley himself.
The failure of the United States to recognize radical Islam as the driving force behind terrorist attacks in Afghanistan and beyond makes it impossible to address the problem and will quickly lead to instability there once the U.S. is gone, warns a former Pentagon official who has spent countless days embedded with U.S. forces.
Bing West is a Vietnam veteran who served as an assistant secretary of defense in the Reagan administration and was frequently embedded with American troops, usually Marines, in Iraq and Afghanistan. In addition to accusing the U.S. of turning a blind eye to radical Muslims, he is also ripping political and military leaders for what he considers their wrongheaded strategies and tactics throughout the past 13 years.
Security concerns arose again Tuesday with the news that U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Harold Greene was killed by a Afghan soldier during a training program.
Despite multiple stories of this type of killing in recent years, West said the problem is not with the program but with the true motivation for these attacks.“The problem in Afghanistan goes to the heart of the conflict that, unfortunately, the administration will not admit. This is a religious-based conflict. This is terrorism by dedicated Islamists who have committed to a jihad against the West and against all their enemies,” he said. “They believe it ferociously, and it is at the soul of their being.”
West said there are plenty of trustworthy, hard-working Afghan soldiers, but he said even Afghan-Americans charged with obtaining intelligence from these Afghan fighters struggle to distinguish the good from the bad.“I’ve spoken with a lot of them and said, ‘Look, can you tell a Taliban? Can you tell a genuine Islamist who’s out to kill you?’ And they said, ‘Absolutely not. They lie so well.’Then they went on to say many times they don’t even know what they’re going to do themselves,” West said.“You see a man praying, but just because he’s praying doesn’t mean he’s on a jihad,” he said, “but some of them are, and the very best people we have cannot differentiate ahead of time.”
See the video below describing the events;
He said the Obama administration is ignoring this obvious motivating factor at the nation’s peril for the sake of its cultural agenda.“There’s this liberalism gone amok, notion of secularism where you cannot admit that religion plays any part in anyone’s life,” said West, noting that even the admitted terrorist attack at Fort Hood by Maj. Nidal Hasan was labeled “workplace violence” by the Army.“It’s extended far beyond the Obama administration, this denial that a person can be motivated by his religion. It’s It’s frightening,” he said. “Therefore, if you say that, you’re considered to be some sort of bigot.”
US General Harold J. Greene Killed in Afghanistan
West said all Americans are suffering as a result of a relentless effort to protect the reputation of Islam.“You have no way of making it legitimate to do investigations based upon religion or ethnicity,” West explained. “Therefore, everybody from a 90-year-old grandmother has to take her shoes off to go through the machines, etc. to get on an aircraft. We absolutely, resolutely refuse to look at the truth of who’s trying to kill us.”As the U.S. gets closer to removing the vast majority of its forces from Afghanistan, West believes it’s clear America’s long-term strategy was deeply flawed from the beginning and gave the benefit of the doubt to political and military leaders who didn’t deserve it.“I think we went entirely too far in Afghanistan. I love our troops. I spent all that time out there. My next book is all about how brave the troops are. But I do not stand up and applaud our generals who sent us down the wrong path,” said West, adding that even the most acclaimed military leaders are not held in high regard by the ones who matter most.“We have certain generals, like Gen. (David) Petraeus and Gen. (Stanley) McChrystal, that we say are huge heroes. Well, down at the platoon level you have a different view. I believe that some of our famous generals were naive, so naive that the troops at the bottom know they are naive,” he said.“They were just wrong about Afghanistan and Iraq. … If you’re going to fight the tough guy, you have to want to go into that battle to kill him and to win, none of this stuff about saying you’re out to ‘win the hearts and minds’ of people. That’s not war.”
“You go into war, you have to be determined to fight,”West said. What is likely to happen in Afghanistan when the U.S. leaves? West said the chaos will descend rather quickly.“The fissures in that society run so deep that regardless of what we do as we pull out, there’s going to be continued violence,” he said. “Pakistan is determined that they are going to have a government that they can tell what to do. Therefore, the idea that there’s going to be any kind of peace in Afghanistan simply isn’t true.”However, West is also confident that Afghanistan will not pose the same kind of threat to the United States that it did leading up to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.“The notion that Afghans are going to be attacking the United States isn’t true, either,” he said. “If we have a problem with Afghans, just don’t give them visas. We don’t have to go through all this stuff of building nations to prevent somebody from coming to the United States and taking pilot lessons.”

This is a deliberate attempt to foment a crisis and overwhelm the system, leading to the breakdown of our society. I’m talking about the so-called Cloward-Piven Plan, devised by a pair of radical academics in the 1960s.
I was in college at Columbia University with Obama in the early 1980s. Our classmates talked about the Cloward-Piven Plan all the time. They couldn’t wait to implement it. Now Obama is clearly carrying it out right in front of our eyes.
The things most conservative commentators worry about are small compared with what I suspect is really happening. Which is stranger, and far more shocking, than fiction.
Who would have imagined Christmas cards would be banned from military bases if they bore the word “God”? Who would believe the words “Merry Christmas” would be banned from military bases, or Christian ministers prevented from presiding at military funerals?
Who would have imagined that six years into the Obama presidency, after $7 trillion in new debt, and $3.7 trillion in entitlements, we’d have the highest poverty rates in modern history?
Or that Obama’s “job-saving” stimulus act would leave us with 92 million fewer working-age Americans in the workforce?
Who would have imagined that businesses would be closing faster than they were opening?

The Cloward-Piven Plan to destroy America is unfolding before our eyes.
So let’s re-visit the crisis on our southern border—or should we call it the crime on our southern border? What’s the worst you can imagine? Whatever it is, Obama will turn your worst nightmare into reality.
No, I’m not talking about the threat of disease spreading across America, diseases that put our border guards and their families and eventually your children at risk. Planes are being chartered to move these sick illegal immigrants around America, to be deposited in your communities. If you get on that plane next, be ready for lice, scabies, or tuberculosis. It’s already happening.
I’m talking about a threat far more serious than those—terrorism. Do you think our radical Muslim enemies are blind? Stupid? They are not. They are brilliant fighters and strategists who adapt to our every move.

You don’t think they’ve noticed our southern border is wide open? You don’t think they are watching and learning? You don’t think they are sneaking teenage terrorists and suicide bombers into the United States right now? You don’t think they’re using the distraction of thousands of aliens crossing the border each day and overwhelmed, distracted, exhausted border guards as a “cover” to sneak a wave of suicide bombers by us right now? I’ll guarantee you it’s happening as we speak.
We’ve lost control of our border and our country. What’s coming next will bring America and the U.S. economy to its knees.
At this moment there may be hundreds of suicide bombers and terrorist cells safely within our borders. All waiting for the go-ahead to destroy this country, cripple our economy, murder our families, take down the only country left in the world with Judeo-Christian values, and force the government to take away our remaining freedoms in response to a terrible crisis.
It’s time to start thinking about impeachment and treason charges against a president that has allowed all of this to happen.
This is all part of a purposeful plan to overwhelm the system that Obama and I studied at Columbia University. Yes, I was Obama’s college classmate at Columbia University, Class of 1983. This is right out of the playbooks of Cloward-Piven and Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals.
That’s why I’ve spent the last year writing “The Murder of the Middle Class.”To give all Americans the information, tools, inspiration and courage to stand up and fight…to get in the game…to save America, the U.S. economy, and the greatest middle class in world history. Before it’s too late.
This is a war for the survival of America and the future of your children and unborn grandchildren. This battle is just getting started. God Bless America.
The video below is from 2010. Even back then our government was already hiding from us the terrible facts of Islamic terrorists at our border. Just imagine what is happening now with our borders in chaos and America so vulnerable.
